Video Poker Download History
Video poker was 'invented' in the early 70's. The poker machine resembled a slot machine and the cards were displayed on a screen. Due to the combination of luck and skill you need in this game, Video Poker soon grew to be one of the largest forms of casino entertainment.
You do not receive any cards, or play against anyone but to predict which hand will beat the other!
The player and the dealer are each dealt a two-card hand. Following standard baccarat rules, a third card is dealt to the player and/or the dealer.
Video Poker Download Rules
Playing video poker online is almost exactly the same as playing it in a 'real' casino. That's why it's so much fun! The rules are not different from a normal poker game. So if you can play a bit of poker, you should definitely try online video poker!
Below is the list of 'hands' you can receive with online video poker. They are ordered from top to bottom, top hand being a really good, bottom hand being the worst.
Royal flush
This is a really good possible hand in online video poker. A Royal Flush consists of Ace, King, Queen, Jack and 10 of the same suit.
Straight flush
This is the second best hand. A Straight Flush holds five cards in order and of the same suit: for example 3, 4, 5, 6, and a 7
Four of a Kind
This hand holds four cards of the same value plus one other odd card (for example K, K, K, K, 6)
Full House
The hand holds three cards of one rank plus two cards of another rank (for example J, J, J, 4, 4 or 5, 5, 5, A, A).
Flush
If all five cards in a hand belong to the same suit you've got a Flush (for example 4 of Clubs, 5 of Clubs, 7 of Clubs, Queen of Clubs and Ace of Clubs)
Straight
A straight holds five cards in order, but not of the same suit (for example Ace of Diamonds, 2 of Clubs, 3 of Hearts, 4 of Clubs and 5 of Spades)
Three of a Kind
Is a hand holding three cards of the same value along with two odd cards (such as 7, 7, 7, A and 2)
Two Pair
A pair is two cards of the same value or rank. You have two pair if the hand has two pair plus an odd card (for example A, A, Q, Q, 3)
One Pair (Jacks or better)
A pair is two cards of the same value or rank
NOTE: in online video poker only pairs of jacks, queens, and kings or aces pay off !!
